JDR Karting
Company Description
Gloucester’s Premier Indoor Karting & Laser Tag Arena. JDR Karting based in Gloucestershire within South West England is ideal for corporate driving days, incentive days, karting events, multi activity driving days, stag and hen parties and team building karting events.
The Track
The circuit is approximately 300m long with a typical lap time of 24 seconds. The circuit features three very exciting High-Speed Banking corners, which greatly aid overtaking opportunities. These corners coupled with a uniform tarmac surface provide a very fast track for sensational high-speed racing.
The circuit uses purpose built crash barriers, which not only improve track safety, but also presentation. Viewing is provided by two multi-level viewing platforms, which contain a series of vending machines providing sweets, crisps, confectionary, hot & cold drinks and also games machines to keep all ages entertained.
Sprint Events
These are our most popular sessions. Sprint sessions are ideal for corporate events. Each driver has a practice, 6 qualifying heats with a different grid position each time before competing in the semi-finals and only then are the top drivers selected for the final. Trophies are awarded to the top 3 drivers. The Grand Prix takes approx 1hr 40 mins to run for 13 drivers and every additional 10 drivers takes an extra 45 mins. The Super Prix takes about 10% longer to run. These times are as a guide only and are for an average group and are taken from arrival to finish.
Arrive & Drive
The 45 minutes and 1 hour sessions can be split into two with a short break if required, time permitting. Computerised Lap Timing enables you to compare your lap times to your friends or see if you are improving.
Arrive & Drive as the name suggests is very easy to arrange for any number of drivers. Just simply arrive and drive. It is very advisable to book your session in advance to avoid disappointment.
Double Header
Double Header events are very popular for Stag & Hen parties or where the group size is insufficient for a Sprint event. These events take approximately an hour to run and all drivers will compete in every race with the top three drivers being awarded trophies. The grid order for the next race will be a reversal of the finishing positions in the previous race ie the winner will start from the back of the grid. Points are awarded for each heat and the driver with the most points will start in pole position for the final.
