Company Description

The Arabian Tent Company, based in East Sussex, offers Arabian, Bedouin, Moroccan, Indian and Bollywood Themed Tent Hire alongside a new marquee themeing and dressing service introduced in 2010 across the South East and Nationwide. Ideal for Weddings, Parties and Themed Events, from 20 to 250 guests. Other services include Venue Themeing with a range of coordinated furnishings and accessories, and equipment hire including tables, chairs, lighting and dance floors.

The Arabian Tent Company was born out of a passion for creating beautiful, sumptuous party surroundings and a love of colour, textures and patterns from the East.

This enthusiasm fused to create a collection of themed tents and lounge furniture that creates a unique and relaxed atmosphere for birthday parties, weddings and corporate events. This individual style is described as ‘a fairytale of warm, sumptuous colour’ by our clients, and translates into every event it touches.

Our luxurious interiors and coordinating furnishings are combined with an incredibly personal service and all the practicalities you could need such as dining areas, dance floors, stages, catering tents and luxury toilets, producing a party that you will enjoy as much as your guests - a statement which is reinforced by the distances we travel to transform events, and our delighted customers comments.

New ideas!
In response to rising demand for furniture hire and marquee lining services, in 2010 a sister company 'The Chillout Furniture Company' is being launched to provide the same range of unique marquee lining and marquee furniture service to be able to transform almost any size of marquee as well as decorate barns, warehouses and village halls throughout the UK, with offices in Sussex and Somerset.

The Boutique Camping that was already offered at festivals has been extended and the beautifully styled Bridal Boudoirs have been introduced in response to the demand for luxury tented accommodation at 'Festival weddings'. The arrival of the 'Bridal Boudoirs' standing on a hardwood weather-proof floor, with a generous king-size bed, wardrobe, lounge area and gilt mirror, provided couples who prefer to stay near the party to be able to do so in comfort, providing an intimate hideaway at anytime.

For the past year we have been experimenting with creative lay-outs, initiated by the need to maximise space constrained by trees and landscaped gardens. It has led to interesting shapes that compliment the trend for combining different interiors. Some of the most popular combinations are;

L shape – where guests walk into the reception area with a dance floor in the corner, and the ‘arm’ accommodating the dining area.

T shape – receiving guests in the stick of the T, with the dining area arranged at the top, and a central dance floor.

X shape – creating a central dance floor or stage flanked by a reception area, two dining tents and catering area.

We are passionate about your surroundings so have created each tent with it's own matching sofas, stools and cushions that coordinate with the lining. For example, the stool covers in the Moulin Rouge interior are made of the same red velvet and gold trimmings as the walls, the sofas in the Bombay Boudoir are made from sparkly silver rope to match the Bollywood theme, and the sofas in the Alice in Wonderland are in fact 'pink wafers' surrounded by cushions that are gargantuan 'Nice' biscuits!

Our tents always come floored and lit…floored with coir carpet (either red or cream depending on the interior choice) and lit with a giant Moroccan lantern in the ceiling of the tent with up lighters accenting the walls.

With the basics covered, you can pick from our additional in-house furniture and equipment to create a tent that is right for your event;

Low Level Seating – including sofas, padded stools, low tables, rugs, carved wooden chests, brass tray tables, table lamps and other accessories.
Dining Chairs – either with block printed covers or guilt banqueting with velvet seat pads.
Dining Tables – either long or round to seat either 8 or 10 guests
Parquet Dance Floors - from 12ft x 12ft to 30ft x 30ft
Hard Flooring – covered with brand new event carpet in a range of colours
Heaters – top of the range ducted propane units with user-friendly thermostat controls
Catering Tents – in a range of sizes with flooring and lighting
